I am a big fan of libraries and it kinda makes me mad that not everyone in my country has access to a decent one. Or at least a decent interlibrary system with book loans, if there isn’t funding for a large local branch! I know it’s not super high priority in public spending but I think it’s an important supplement to education and creates healthy citizens with healthy minds

“Libraries are good” is not a controversial opinion but the whole idea that you need to pirate books that aren’t either way out of print or specific academic texts or texts you need to keep for a while and annotate always throws me because I am a naive snob or something I dunno
